Lighthouse

Took a nice ride to Bodie Island Lighthouse the other day. It's a cool spot but it's getting some work done presently. Snapped a pic.



The REAL crazy shit is what happened on the little access road to get there. A huge-ass deer darted out from the woods, I braked hard as shit, and that bastard nearly jumped over my front tire. H@ly Sh!t...close one. Happened right along this stretch:

Always Sumthin'

So after a helluva blast down some lonesome road, I got home and realized that my rear sprocket rivets worked themselves loose, and are all jammed up around my drum. So bad that the bike will barely roll! Glad that shit didn't lock up on me!






So it looks like I've got some parts to buy and some work to do.

Solo seat

Felt like a change today. Mounted up an old tractor style solo seat I had.
Mounting loops on the hairpin springs were to small, so I heated them with a torch and spread them a little wider.




Went ahead and shot a little paint.




Looks allright. Going to get a Jammer seat and some 2" hairpins.

  What can I say...I like cheap beer. People always give Pabst a hard time, but I just don't get it.
I think the shit tastes great, and I've been known to leave a 12 Box hollow, no problem. Plus when you're at the beach, you can pour it over your head and not think twice about it cause what does it cost? Nuthin? Good stuff.

'66 Ironhead Sporty barn-find

  So a buddy was telling me about an old Sportster he had in his barn. Said it hadn't been ridden in years. I told him I'd love to go look at it. He just kinda laughed and said "tell ya what, you go check it out, take it home, tinker around with it, and if you think you might want it, we'll work something out." Needless to say it was in my garage the next day. It took a little effort, but I got her running and fucking love it!
  This thing is different from any bike I've ever ridden. Right-side shift, kick only, etc. etc.etc. Sometimes it fires right up, sometimes it's a bitch and a half.  But when she fires right up, it feels great!
